An update?! No way!

Happy Post-Holidays!

I know I'm not the only one that's been MIA lately... we've all been soooo busy! Crazy holidays! Ours was actually pretty low-key; Mr. Cats and I stayed home and opened our presents from both of our parents and each other, watched Christmas Story, and went out to an amazing sushi bar for Christmas dinner! Yummmm. :)

So overall, there is good news and bad news:

GOOD NEWS
I finally got the Nikon D3000 that I've wanted!!! I started up a little photo blog here - http://ensoh.wordpress.com/ - and am already loving my camera and having a ton of fun learning how to take great photos. :) Please feel free to follow!!

BAD NEWS
Maaaaybe TMI, but I found a lump in my right breast on Christmas Eve - not the best time to find something like that. While it's gotten smaller, it's surely still there, so I'm forseeing a doctor's appointment in my future. Yay for having no health insurance... ugh, more fees that I can't afford! But I can't afford not to get it looked at. Three years ago, right before we moved to NC, my doctor found a lump in my left breast that I had ultrasounded, but the ultrasound showed nothing. I'm hoping this one is equally nothing, or just a cyst or something, but just feeling it there makes my stomach go cold. :( Sigh. I'm VERY nervous. BUT, I'm doing my best to stay optimistic. :)

That's about all for now ... we're trying to figure out where we want to go to dinner for New Years Eve! We'll go eat somewhere and then come home to share a bottle of champagne while the ball drops on TV. :) Nothing better!!

Hey Sami! Girl, congrats on the new camera! And I looove the first kitty picture. So crystal and clear. Good catch;) Lol.
I know what you mean about that cold stomach feeling when you're scared/nervous. I've felt before. But have no fear. Because God is with you. And, while reading your blog I took the liberty to ask my mom(RN) and sister(medical student) about it, and though of course you should get it checked, for what it's worth, they think it's not harmful. Since from Christmas eve 'til now it's gotten smaller, it most likely isn't anything malignant since, as the sis says, "cancer doesn't get smaller".

Enjoy your new years night!

@OFCJ: Thanks!! :D Kitties are so hard to capture, they're always running about willy nilly. :)

Oh, believe you me, I've been saying my prayers on this one. And I've used the SAME reasoning... cancer doesn't get smaller! LOL! TYVM for the professional opinions, you are a doll, and I'm feeling better about it!

Krysten: Thank you! You are a sweetie <3 and I'll keep y'all posted. :)

Glad you had a good Christmas and are looking forward to a great New Year. I'll keep you in my thoughts. I'm sure it's nothing, but I hate finding things like that...health situations are so stressful, especially when you don't have insurance. I went through a similar situation last year before my insurance kicked in. I'm sure you'll be just fine!

Like everybody has said, it's probably nothing...but it's always best to go and get it checked just in case. I know exactly that "cold" feeling - it's the absolute worst.

You'll be in my prayers friend! :)
