Weekend Breakfasting

One of my absolute favorite things to do on the weekends is to go out for breakfast! Sometimes I even like it more than going out for dinner. :)

Brunch is really big here in the south (not so much where I'm from up north...) and it seems like every restaurant around here does it. Even Ruby Tuesday is jumping on the bandwagon and is starting to offer a brunch at select restaurants! (One being right down the way from me... heh heh...)

This morning we went down to Panera Bread and I had the yummiest pumpkin spice muffin with my chocolate milk! I'm also a sucker for croissant sandwiches with egg and cheese in them... mmm... there's a place up in DC called the Corner Bakery that would make the YUMMIEST (read: tastiest & most fattening ever!) breakfast croissant sandwich. Drooooool.... Pancakes and french toast are usually good staples, too. Or scrambled eggs and toast! Okay, now I'm hungry. :)

What do y'all (see, southern!!) like to eat when you go out for a yummy breakfast??

Okay, changing my brain away from food ... I have to say, that I really "noticed my age" today when the first magazine I picked up off the newsstand to ooh and aah over was ... Good Housekeeping! Marie Claire? Nah. Cosmo? Bluh. People? Ho hum. Gimme the HOMEBODY magazine!!!! It's such a cozy magazine IMO, right up there next to Southern Living (another guilty pleasure). I just can't help it, I'm envisioning my new home decked out in all these cool seasonal crafts, and cooking all of the fun recipes inside, not to mention the thrifty tips... yup, officially old. :) I don't care though, I'm lovin' it!!

Hope everyone had a great, relaxing, lover-ly weekend. Our weather is cooling down just a little bit, but still nice and sunny. Fall is totally coming our way!

Don't feel bad about showing your age - you drink chocolate milk still!! I love chocolate milk too, it's my sweet fix that gets me through the day.

I'm not much of a breakfast person, usually just a yogurt mid morning. But when I do get the urge it's muffins like those in the picture that are my weakness. They do look yummy.

Age is just a state of mind and my mind is always in some sort of "state", lol.

Happy belated Birthday,
Judy

Breakfast is big here too: bacon, eggs, toast, fried tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, the list is endless. And delicious ;)

I love breakfast and brunch. I love making them, I love going out for them.
In fact, my "sort of boyfriend" and I go to this restaurant/cocktail-bar which also does breakfast and brunch. We have pancakes with maple syrup and bacon (horror upon horrors, it shouldn't be good to my English palette, but it hust is. Then I have steak, eggs, and potatoes, and promptly feel sick. And we wash it all down with champagne.

Breakfast/brunch is my favorite meal. I love french toast, waffles...and make great stuffed french toast with ricotta and cherry jam inside. YUM. Your post just made me hungry. :)

Breakfast/brunch is the best meal of the day. Muffins are delicious (esp. pumpkin!) but I try to stay away from them. I tend to go with eggs and cheese sandwiches, but swap ingredients to make it healthier.

Every now and then, though, it doesn't hurt to indulge =) But now I'm hungry haha. Maybe I'll go treat myself to Panera tomorrow.

Breakfast is my favorite meal (that probably has something to do with my terrible coffee addiction), but none of my friends are ever up early enough to go with me!
My absolute favorite breakfast spot is IHOP, during the morning rush it's usually me, some grumpy friend I've dragged out of bed for cheap, greasy food, and about 100 seniors. Not young, hip seniors, but senior seniors. They've got vans that'll take them from the nursing home to IHOP, so... I'm pretty cool.
But the best breakfast food, bar none, is bacon, hashbrowns, and pancakes. Mmmmmm. And coffee with lots of vanilla cream.

YUMMY! I *heart* breakfast foods! Brian and I eat breakfast for dinner many times. We probably eat more at home, than anything, but an easy and quick indulgence is either IHOP or Denny's (I actually prefer the sausage at Denny's -- I love sausage). We actually have both Panera's AND Corner Bakery's here. And many other breakfasty places, like Einstein Bagels. There are a FEW places around here who do Mexican breakfasts, which I love. And, for a quick Mexican breakfast, we hit Taco Cabana -- their breakfast tacos are very authentic.

I have an absolutely delicious french toast casserole dish that's easy and delish, if you'd like it! Lemme know!!! Mmmm... breakfasy!

I think I definitely like going out to breakfast/brunch best of all! You can't really go wrong with breakfast. I think my two favorite things are french toast and home fries...mmmmmm.

To tell the truth, I'm being so lazy in the morning, so my hubby always gets the breakfast ready for me:) Working for cheap essay writing service, I only have enough time during evenings!
